The Steiner Community Wag and Walk is a fundraising dog walk put on by Steiner Serves volunteers to benefit Wags, Hope and Healing, a nonprofit dog rescue organization that services Central Texas.

| The walk begins and ends at the John Simpson Park in Steiner Ranch. Please arrive early as we will start the walk promptly at 10am. We will walk from the park, west on Steiner Ranch Blvd. to Majestic Oaks Drive and continue on to Grimes Ranch Road. We’ll follow Grimes Ranch Road to Steiner Ranch Blvd. (after crossing it once) and turn right to return to John Simpson park. The 1.75 mile walk should take approximately 30 – 45 minutes, depending on the pace of the participants. Route Map | ||

| ADOPTIONS An adoption station will be set up at the park for anyone interested in meeting the adoptable Wags dogs. RAFFLE Generous donations have been made by local vendors to include in a raffle on the day of the event. Items up for grab include a substantial gift certificate from Lake Austin Spa Resort, a round of golf for four people from Hill Country Country Club and a full teeth whitening and checkup from Dr. Merrily Sandford’s dental office. LEASHES, ONLY All dogs must be on leash at all times and be under the control of their owner. POO PICKUP Every participant is required to pick up after their own dog. |

| Parking | ||
| Participants are encouraged to walk to the event if possible; all others please park on neighboring side streets and follow standard parking regulations. We ask that you please respect your neighbors and do not block driveways or traffic. The John Simpson parking lot will not be available to participants for this event in order to allow residents to access their mailboxes. | ||

| Wags, Hope and Healing is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that rescues, rehabilitates and finds loving adoptive homes for dogs that were the victims of abandonment, abuse or neglect. Through leadership, behavioral conditioning and education, they help them become balanced and healthy in mind, body and soul. Wags, Hope and Healing takes the time to facilitate a perfect match between their adoptable dogs and their forever families and offers a lifelong support system for adopting families. They promote kindness, leadership and responsible pet ownership and advocate for the prevention of cruelty to animals including preventative measures for overpopulation.
